Best places for phone cases

If you are looking for the best places for phone cases, you've come to the right place. Whether it's an Android, iPhone or another type, I've always managed to get much, much cheaper deals online than in-store. This is because all too often, your local cellphone store will make a great deal on a phone... and then charge $25 or more for a case, often with very little choice of color or style. That's just crazy! You don't have to accept that. I've always gotten my cases for around $5 to $10 including international shipping - with plenty of choice of colors and styles, and I'll show you how you can too.

That's actually my phone case in the pic above; note how rugged and well-constructed it is, plus the detailing where the camera and speaker holes are. You would hardly believe that it cost a fraction of the price of the in-store cases.

While you can try eBay and Amazon, I found that they often didn't have cases for certain types of phone, particularly if it's a less-popular model. Plus, you don't always get shipping to your area of the world with those. So, without further ado, the best place for phone cases, based on my personal experience, is.... AliExpress!

For those who don't know, AliExpress by is a marketplace where a bunch of different manufacturers sell product directly to you, the customer, worldwide. Often shipping is free, or really cheap (like $1 to $2). At first I was hesitant to shop there, as I wasn't certain about reliability and quality. But my brother, who had shopped there before, re-assured me that for electronics and things like that, AliExpress is awesome. He's correct; I've never had a problem.

The phone case I bought from AliExpress (shown above in pic) has worked really well. I've dropped my phone numerous times and it's always protected it; there's not even a scratch. I did also buy a plastic-style screen protector from a different seller from AliExpress for around $1 - $2. First though, check the product description of the phone case you want: often, sellers will state that they bundle it with a basic screen protector, so you may not even have to buy a separate one of those.

Shopping tips for phone cases online

  • In the search bar of the AliExpress site, be sure to type in the model of phone model you have, along with the phrase "phone case" (e.g. LG V35 phone case). This will ensure you pull up only the cases that are compatible with that phone.
  • If you find a case you like, pick your options carefully when you're on the product page. Some sellers offer the same general design in multiple different styles, so be sure to select your correct phone model from the drop-down menu.
  • Check feedback rating before buying. Each product has a feedback rating, where previous buyers have rated the reliability of the seller. You'll want to purchase a case that's had a decent feedback rating.
  • Because items usually ship from China, it could take quite awhile for your item to arrive (typically 2 to 4 weeks), depending on where you live. Some sellers have warehouses in other countries that you can choose from when selecting the product options, so if you live in one of those countries you can get it much faster. In any case, the expected timeframe is always stated in the product description. Usually it arrives much earlier than the timeframe: this is because buyers can complain and get a partial refund if it arrives late, or a full refund if it doesn't arrive after the last stated timeframe by seller - check the seller's policies carefully about this. So sellers tend to tell you a later date than when it'll really arrive.

Do make sure you are extra-careful with your phone until your case arrives.

Your phone case is something people see every day, you'll be glad you took the time to get one that stands out... and save a lot of money in the process.
